About our Camps

Aspire's Camps offers rhythmic gymnasts the chance to further their training and development in a supportive environment where collaboration and excellence is at the forefront of the curriculum. Our aim is to work in harmony with all athletes and coaches from within Aspire and joining clubs to collaboratively improve the sport in our country. Aspire’s valued high performance coaching team will mentor, teach and guide all athletes over the duration of the camp.

Location
Aspire Gymnastics Academy Robertson Venue - entrance to venue via end of
Estoril Street, Robertson QLD 4109

Levels

All athletes from Level 1-10 and all High Performance levels are able to attend.
The length of sessions 
will be appropriate to age and level of athletes.


Groups

Athletes will be placed into groups in accordance with their age and level at the
commencement of the week.Coaches will observe the athletes during the first day and may
make adjustments to an athletes group so that they can get the most out of their
time training with us.


Times

Detailed times and training schedule to be provided by email the week prior to the event. Please speak to us if arriving from interstate so that we can assist you in your planning.
 

Accomodation for Interstate athletes

There is a hotel within walking distance of the venue called Quality Hotel Robertson Gardens which has options for Villas as well as hotel rooms. The villas are fully self-contained and can fit up to 6 people making it very easy for larger groups travelling together.

The onsite restaurant is open for breakfast and dinner with celiac, lactose intolerant, vegetarian and vegan friendly options. Please visit their website for more information.

Camp Learning Objectives

Levels 1-4

  • Age and level appropriate whole body warm ups

  • Body preparation for correct technique in body difficulties

  • Basic apparatus handling and fundamentals - all apparatus

  • Basic ballet and dance for musicality and movement 

  • Learn multiples skills (basic exchanges and collaborations)

  • Competition environment (control training with judges)

Level 5-10 and High Performance Levels

  • Whole body warm up with and without apparatus

  • Body preparation for development of body difficulties

  • Basic and advanced apparatus handling

  • Floor ballet with and without apparatus

  • Dance for increasing artistry

  • Development of high scoring Risks

  • Discussion with coaches, athletes, and judges within high performance area

  • Big focus on routine repetition (HP levels)

  • Competition environment (control training with judges - HP levels)
     

All Levels

  • Receive a Camp shirt

  • Personal coaches attend the camp at no extra cost

  • Fun games to develop stamina, love for the sport and friendships

  • Social event organised at the gym

  • Opportunity to have private lessons (additional cost)

  • Opportunity to have routines choreographed for athletes (additional cost)
